The problem: batteries that fail where access is hardest
Solar road signs, speed display signs, autonomous lighting, sensors, backup power: this equipment is often installed far from the technical depot, sometimes at height. Its lead-acid batteries cope poorly with daily charge and discharge cycles and age quickly under the deep discharges of winter. Every failure means sending a crew, sometimes with an aerial platform, for equipment that stays out of service in the meantime.
The solution: LFP to the original dimensions, built in Dijon
We build lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries in 12, 24 and 48 V, to the equipment's original dimensions and connectors, to replace lead-acid without changing the mounting or wiring. LFP chemistry copes far better with daily cycling and deep discharge, which markedly lengthens the interval between replacements.
Sizing takes operating conditions into account: charging a lithium battery must be prevented below 0 °C, and the BMS is configured accordingly. Lithium packs already in service can also be reconditioned.
Available references include the 24 V 50 Ah LFP battery at €405 excl. VAT, the 24 V 100 Ah LFP battery at €770 excl. VAT and the 48 V 50 Ah LFP battery, from €785 excl. VAT on quotation. 12 V formats and specific dimensions are built subject to study.
How an order works
- Survey of the equipment: voltage, capacity, compartment dimensions, connectors, operating conditions.
- Detailed quote excl. VAT, suited to public purchasing procedures, with the lead time.
- Build at the Dijon workshop, with a test report handed over with every battery.
For a fleet of identical equipment, we build in small series with documentation reproducible from one battery to the next. References are grouped in the Autonomous equipment & LFP storage category; specific formats fall under custom packs.
